Egg Sun Catcher

We made some Easter egg sun catchers today using contact paper. You could also use laminating sheets, but I didn't have any on hand. Anyway, I traced out an egg shape and let them cut it out. Then I cut out the inside of the egg for them, leaving about 1/2 an inch border. I stuck the egg on the contact paper and cut off the excess around the perimeter. Then the kids stuck little squares of tissue paper all over them, completely covering it. We then punched a hole in the top and laced some string through it.

Voila:

Happy Easter (in two days!)
