My gymnastics girl

My girl is a gymnastics lovin' fool. We've been through a handful of activities and sports (soccer, ballet, horseback riding, etc), and this is by far her fave. She's forever 'practicing' at home, doing sit ups, handstands, push ups, trying to do cartwheels, the splits, etc...

And in class, she's one serious girl; very focused and determined...

I'm excited to see if this is something she'll want to continue long term :)

Window Markers

When I was a kid, they didn't have fun things like 'window markers'. In fact, had I been caught coloring on the windows, I probably would have earned myself a spanking, lol!

Thankfully, these are 'window safe' and wipe right off. So when I found these babies on clearance at Tar-jay a few weeks ago, I snagged them up and my littles went to work creating some, um.... masterpieces :)

Now just to remind Miss Megan that these are 'special' markers and that other markers ONLY belong on the paper. Yeah, good luck with that one!

Fatty Patty gets stuck

We don't call her 'Fatty Patty' and 'Porky Pig' for nothing...

I am forever trying to limit her food. The thing is, Megan LOVES to feed her and share her snacks with her, so it's a never ending battle.

But, it's come to a crisis point. She is such a food hound that she is always sniffing out crumbs. And now? She's beginning to get stuck in some rather unusual places.

For instance:

Under the picnic table. Seriously, she whined for about 20 minutes because her fat belly couldn't fit through the slats:

and my personal favorite:

She got stuck at the very top of the playhouse.

Who does that?!?

Somehow she was able to climb her way alllll the way up there, but couldn't lug her fat behind down. Again, she cried for about 20 minutes before someone carried her down and kindly pushed her down the slide for some extra excitement :)

Lets hope she doesn't do that again!

Spa time!

When we bought this spa shortly after we were married, I never imagined we'd get so much use out of it. Certainly I didn't think our kids would get so much use out of it, lol!

It's made it through two moves and it's finally settled in its resting place here at our new-ish casa. Justin and I use it a few times a week in the evenings when we can overlook some of the valley. It's beautiful and it always makes me count my blessings :)

But it's not only used in the evenings with my man and I... the kids (and Yeo!) practically live in it on the weekends :)

Reminds me of these pics back when Jake was just a little younger than Megan. So stinkin' cute!

LLC; Water day!

It was my turn to host LLC this month and since it's been sooo hot here lately, I decided a water theme would be a good idea. We had water guns, pools, water tables, umbrellas, lots of water toys, and us mama's got patio chairs... it was awesome :)

Oh, and lets not forget the Popsicles!

Meg and her BFF Millie :)

Hooray for lazy sunny days and lounging with some of our BFF's :)

From black to green...

...thumbs, that is :)

I never thought it possible that we'd be able to grow anything because my man and I only know how to kill plants.

But look! We have carrots and peas sprouting up!

Thanks Sarah for inspiring us to grow something other than little people, lol!

Picture perfect day

I woke up last week with a desire to give my little ones the best day I could. So when Lauren was at school (happily I might add!), Jakey, Megan and I had ourselves an amazing day.

We started out at the donut shop. We chose any kind we wanted; maple for me, sprinkles for Jake and pink for Miss Megs.

Then we headed to the park for a few hours, swinging, riding scooters, climbing, and having ourselves a picnic lunch.

After nap, we had a pillow fight, where someone, ahem Jake, whooped on me. Hard.

Add a family walk, a yummy dinner, bath and storytime to our activities and we had ourselves a wonderful day :)

PS- Lauren, Jake and Megan, these are the kinds of days I cherish. Moments that seem so insignificant feel like a million bucks to me when I see you happy and thriving. I love you three so, so much. Don't ever forget that. -Love, Mom
