PreK, Kinder and 1st grade craft: Jesus is ALIVE Easter craft!

For our April craft this month, we made one of my favorite crafts for kiddos.. Easter cross art!

We've made this craft a few times before, because it's fun, messy and honors Jesus, so it's a winner in our book :)

Here are PreK, Kindergarten and 1st grade with their art:

Hurray for kids crafts! And Jesus! And His resurrection! :)

Trampoline overload!

A girlfriend told me about a place called SkyTown in Redlands. And HOLY COW! It was the most active, fun, energetic two hours we've spent in a long time. Think trampolines everywhere, a rock climbing wall, a trampoline dodgeball court, trampoline basketball lanes, a jousting pit (where Justin and myself jousted- Justin won!, Justin and Yeo jousted- Yeo won!, and Lauren and Jake jousted- they both won at different times!... SO fun!)

I'll just let the pictures do this post justice:

It's definitely somewhere we'll go again. It wasn't cheap for all 6 of us to go, but it was a special treat and it was a night full of family bonding. And those kind of nights are priceless :)

More demo has begun...

When we moved in to our money pit new home, we knew that we'd eventually like to tear down the half walls that separate the kitchen and dining room. They just dated the space and made it feel closed in.

But then we got to thinking, why not open this whole area up??? (minus removing the load bearing beam of course.) That would really make it look spacious!

And with new flooring being installed shortly, we decided that it's time... time for some demo!!

So we got a few good helpers,

and let them go to town. Lauren lots interest fairly quickly as there were LADYBUGS! in the backyard, but Jake wanted to help for hours.. so we let him :)

Soon the mees was everywhere:

but by the end of the night, we had it completely cleaned up and bare. It already looks soooo much more open without the old pocket door and low beams:

Justin's going to drywall and frame the openings, and then we'll be ready for the new floors. It's becoming to open and updated in there! Stay tuned... :)
