Who is this big girl???
Today she wore her "biiig gurl" panties, proudly announcing they were "red (with) kitties". We're not necessarily potty training, mainly because the thought of hurriedly taking her to public restroom where nature calls, makes me all weirded out. But she's interested and gets SO excited when she goes "lots' o piddle!", so we're encouraging her as much as she's ready for.
Okay, on the the Laurenisms:
A few days ago, I was reading an article on how to stop your child from using their pacifier. Lauren only gets it at nap time and bedtime, but it's getting rather ridiculous at this point, so we're "weaning" her. Anyways, the article said to snip a hole in the end of the pacifier so it loses suction and the child no longer wants it. So without her looking, I cut the tip off. Moments later, she finds it and sticks it in her mouth. She takes it out, ponders it, sticks out her pouty bottom lip and says "momma, it's broken!" To which I replied, "awww, you're right. It is broken. Shall we throw it away?" But before she had a chance to answer, out walks the Hubster and she turns to him and pathetically says "dadda, it's broken!" He tries to console her and she hands it to him crying and says "Batteries!!"
Ha! Who knew batteries could fix broken pacifiers?!?
And here's the latest Lauren quip, heard this morning in Jacob's room:
Because he has a cold, we have a cool mist humifier going in front of Moosey's crib. It sort of "seeps" water occasionally, leaving the carpet a bit cool and damp. Anyways, Lauren steps in the damp spot and tells me it’s wet. I asked her why she thought it was wet and she said all distraught, “ ’prinklers on”. Haha!
You know, because we keep the sprinklers on in Jacob's room to make him grow ;)
Silly goose!
