Big Bear snow play!

It had been a while since the Hubster and I took our 'big kids' on a date. So Nanny watched Miss Meg for a bit and we took the kids up to the snow...

Our plan as to stay on the slopes all day, riding the intertubes but apparently, that as everyone's plan also. It was PACKED so we went down the slopes for about an hour and moved on to some hot chocolate:

And then, good old fashioned playing in the snow (right outside the play area):

We made a snowman, had a snowball fight, made snow angels, etc... Seriously, we spent more time just playing in the (free!) snow than we did at on the innertubes!

And then, this is where my camera battery dies :( I was upset but we carried on with our day, sans camera... we went and had lunch at an Italian restaurant, then went to another picturesque area filled with snow (the pics would have been beautiful there with such a pretty white background, whaaa!). We stayed there about 3 hours... seriously, the kids did not want to leave :)

Then we walked around the little shops and found two fun places to check out;  a toy store and a candy shoppe. We ended up leaving at 4 pm and we got there at 9am.... it was a fun, full day ;)
